PostgreSQL & Database Infrastructure

Database infrastructure engineered for availability, protection and speed.

I am not a DBA by trade — I work at the infrastructure level around PostgreSQL: availability, replication, storage, backup, recovery and performance. That is the perspective production databases actually need, because most database incidents are infrastructure incidents.

What I do

Designing high-availability topologies and streaming replication, tuning configuration and queries for real workloads, building tested backup and recovery (including WAL archiving and point-in-time recovery), planning storage and growth, and supporting major version upgrades and migrations with minimal risk.

The goal is a database layer that protects the data, survives failures and keeps the application responsive.
