Cloud Migration & Disaster Recovery for Mission-Critical Systems
Moving mission-critical enterprise infrastructure to Azure with zero downtime, around 40% cost savings and a tested recovery posture.
The situation
Mission-critical enterprise systems needed modernization — moving from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud without service interruption, while strengthening disaster recovery.
The environment
On-premises virtualization, Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, backup and disaster recovery tooling.
The problem
Modernizing infrastructure while avoiding downtime and ensuring that recovery capability actually works.
My investigation
Assessed the current environment, application dependencies, connectivity and recovery requirements.
What I did
Led the on-premises-to-cloud migration with zero downtime, implemented disaster recovery plans and added resilience for mission-critical workloads.
The result
Around 40% infrastructure cost savings with no service downtime, and disaster recovery in place and tested for critical systems.
What I learned
Migration success is measured by operations continuing through the change — and recovery only counts when it is actually tested.
